Gujarat Government tried to use SEWA for communal propaganda

WikiLeaks exposure won’t hit SEWA works
SEWA chairperson Ela Bhatt on Sunday said that her organisation had already paid back whatever was due to the state government long ago and that its own financial position was strengthened so as to get it rid of its dependence of official assistance.
“Personally, I do not think that the WikiLeaks exposure would in any way impact working of SEWA in any manner because the chapter is closed as far as SEWA is concerned,” Bhatt said. Indian Express
