NSDC Innovations for Skills Challenge 2014

NSDC Innovations for Skills Challenge 2014, a national level search which aims to identify and invest Rs 1.5 to 2 Crore in 10-15 innovative and robust enterprises registered in India is now accepting entries. The contest is open to pvt companies, co-operatives, ngo’s, trusts and society’s.

NSDC Innovations for Skills Challenge 2014 is organized by National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) in partnership with Ennovent. As part of this challenge, NSDC is looking for proposals, which will positively impact and create a multiplier effect in the skill development space in India. The Challenge aims to identify and invest in 10 to 15 innovative enterprises that are robust and have sustainable models to impact the skills development ecosystem in India.

Solutions must relate to one or more of the categories listed below:

1. Sourcing & Financing
    i. Awareness & Lead Generation
    ii. Counseling & Conversion
    iii. Student Financing (Loans)
 
2. Training-to-Certification
    i. Assessment & Certification
    ii. Content Delivery
    iii. Content Generation
    iv. Master Training Programs
    v. Product Innovations
    vi. Training of Trainers
    vii. Enterprises with specific focus on people with disabilities
 
3. Placement & Linkages
    i. Entrepreneurship Program & Funding
    ii. Industry Linkages
    iii. Job portals
 
4. Post Placement & Engagement
    i. Alumni Connect
    ii. Continuous Learning
    iii. Housing & Transportation
 
5. Open Innovation (which impact skill ecosystem)
    i. Enterprises with focus at Persons with Disabilities
    ii. Others (please specify)

Timeline of the Challenge

  • 12 Aug 2014 – Application Open
  • 24 Sep 2014 – Application Deadline
  • 20 Nov 2014 – Jury Presentation
  • 21 Nov 2014 – Winners Announced
