Subject: Regarding HRI – Help Rural India, request to provide guidelines for initiating a school formal educational programme.

    Dear Sir,
Help Rural India – HRI is a voluntary benevolent philanthropic organization initiated by Sri. Hansraj Shiv, a prominent industrialist, a philanthropist “Karamyogi” assisted by volunteer professionals with an aim to help alleviate some of the grass root problems of Rural India in 1996. HRI aims at alleviating some of the fundamental issues of the underprivileged Rural India, providing self sustainability and improvement in the quality of their lives. Please Visit us at http://www.helpruralindia.org
    What We Do
Since its inception in 1996, the HRI has worked to support the underprivileged in society and enrich their lives. Health and education have been identified as the primary objectives in the community development process. The HRI works relentlessly to ensure improvement of general health and spread of non-formal education among all members in the community. A number of focused initiatives have been implemented to bring about general health awareness and improve the level of education & awareness. As a part of the healthcare initiatives Monthly clinics, counseling sessions, health camps are regularly held to promote general health and well-being in the community. We are also in the phase of framing the community CHVs based Holistic Health Empowerment Initiative for the community and by the community.

It has successfully implemented projects in four key focus areas:
    o Healthcare.
o Social rehabilitation and rural upliftment. (Free rationing & Basic Amenities to disabled, disaster displaced and most marginalized.)
o Learning and education (Informal Computer Education Centres).
o Employment Generation Activities.(Training & Workshops for IGAs)

PROPOSED CONCEPT: We have identified Slum and Rural area a Primary School in Dehradun Village of Dehradun District of Uttarakhand. It is in a ruinous pecuniary situation due to incapability of the people to not pay fees funding the HRI. We have initiated by donating some Computers for the deprived community students and other unemployed youth. Now the administration and the owner is requesting us (HRI) to Hiring Rent Pay the school property and run the school else he would be selling to some other people for any purpose other then school (may be Secondary School). We request your esteemed organization to grant us for the existence of the school, besides we have never requested for any funds from any source regarding any social activities of HRI. HRI has a team of professionals and Volunteers to work in this programme besides the teachers in the schools are also willing to cooperate and became HRI’s volunteer members.

PROPOSED CONCEPT: We have identified a Secondary School in Bajaura Village of Mandi District of Himachal Pradesh. It is in a ruinous pecuniary situation due to incapability of the people to pay fees contributions the basic nominal fees. We have initiated by donating some Computers for the deprived community students and other unemployed youth. Now the administration and the owner is requesting us (HRI) to purchase the school property and run the school else he would be selling to some other people for any purpose other then school (may be hotel).

EDUCATION:Education too has been a primary focus area for the HRI, and a number of initiatives have been designed to promote non-formal education in the community. Some schools have been given computers to promote ICT education in the neighboring rural village area of Kullu and Dehradun district. Simultaneously, ICT education programs have also been deployed to spread computer literacy. The response to all these initiatives has been overwhelming and the HRI is now taking up more initiatives to address the requirement.

We have initially budgeted that it needs around US $ 77820.00 (Seventy Seven Thousand Eight Hundred and twenty only) per year, to run the school effectively with competitive facilities and high-quality ethical principles from the experienced HRI Volunteers & old school staff. HRI’s member and volunteers are contributing in kind and cash approx. 10% and we have been sensitizing and encouraging the people to contribute 15% of the monthly expenses. The School would be self sustainable after 5 years with the PPP (Public Private Partnership) Approach. We request your esteemed organization to grant approx 75% of the initial budget annually for the initial 05 years of its establishment.

We need your grant support to run & properly re-instate the only school for the most marginalized community in the area. Please send us further guidelines for the Proposal Letter. We want to make it function appropriately from the coming year with your support.

Looking forward for a Favorable and positive response for this noble cause.
