This video produced in late 2006, provides highlights of the early efforts to use mobile phones to facilitate banking services for rural bank clients in the Philippines. This effort has been led by the Rural Bankers Association of the Philippines Microenterprise Access to Banking Services (MABS) Program (a USAID-assist program with Chemonics International as the main contractor) with the support of Globe Telecom’s G-Xchange subsidiary.
