IFMR Trust, announced last week that it has appointed Dr Kshama Fernandes to the Board of Trustees at the IFMR Trust. The IFMR Trust (Institute for Financial Management and Research, Tamil Nadu) is a non-profit organization sponsored by ICICI, the House of Kotharis and other major industrial groups.
The IFMR trust functions as an incubation platform for livelihood and financial services companies that give rural and urban poor a platform to engage with markets as producers and consumers of goods and services.
Kshama Fernandes is the founder member of IFMR Capital and been serving as it’s CEO since 2012. She is a graduate with an MBA and holds a Ph.D in Finance. Earlier last week, she successfully lead and closed India’s largest Tier II Non Convertible Debentures issuance for Satin Creditcare Network Ltd.
Before she joined IFMR Capital, Kshama Fernandes was the head of Finance at the Goa Institute of Management and has in the past worked on consulting assignments around the globe for the World Bank, Ministry of Finance, Government of India and CMEX.
She has also been credited with developing the SEBI mandated certification program for Derivatives offered by the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and NCDEX.
The Board of Trustees of IFMR trust consists of leaders in the Financial Services space and includes Bindu Anath, Dave Wallack, Puneet Gupta and Sucharita Mukherjee.
