Profile Ramesh S Arunachalam
Ramesh S Arunachalam has over two decades of strong grass-roots and institutional experience in rural finance, MSME development, agriculture and rural livelihood systems, rural and urban development and urban poverty alleviation. He has worked extensively in Asia, Africa, North America and Europe with national and state governments, multi-lateral agencies, bi-lateral donors, regulators and supervisors including central banks and ministries, commercial banks, and MFIs, NGOs, the private sector and stake holders.
Mr Ramesh Arunachalam is the most authoritative voice on Indian microfinance today – one that is all the more powerful because he has passionately advocated its growth and is able to analyse it most objectively. His book, “ The Journey of Indian Microfinance – Lessons for the Future”, is a first authentic compendium on the history of microfinance and its possible future.
The book, which was released by Mr Yezdi Malegam in July this year, will be available to participants of the seminar at a very special discount of 40%. Mr Arunachalam and publisher Aapti Publication are making it available at this price because they both believe that it must be read.
