CGAP 2014 Photo Contest now open for entries !

The annual CGAP Photo Contest, which aims to highlight stand-out photography from amateurs and professionals around the world depicting financial inclusion, is now open for entries. The contest is open to entries from both rural and urban settings.

The last date for submitting your photos and the completed applications is October 8, 2014. You can submit it online at http://photocontest.cgap.org/

About the CGAP 2014 Contest

CGAP is looking for photos that illustrate the remarkable ways access to a variety of financial services, such as savings, insurance, payments, and credit, can help poor people manage their complex financial situations.

Submissions to the CGAP Photo Contest may represent a range of products, institutions, and approaches, and may touch on a broad variety of social, economic, developmental, and technological issues.

Past winners have included stunning and creative images that have been shared with organizations working in financial inclusion and global media. The 2013 contest was the most competitive to date, with 3,890 entries from over 90 countries. Last year’s winning photos received excellent exposure globally and were featured in the online galleries by BBC Mundo, BBC Vietnam, Huffington Post, and Business Insider to name a few.

Many prizes will be issued in 2014, including a first, second, and third prize, as well as a People’s Choice winner determined by popular vote.
